Art Club/NAHS

Art Club and National Art Honor Society is a combined club at OOHS for anyone interested in creating art and building community.

Art Club is a student club at Orange High School. We meet to encourage the pursuit of creativity, foster art appreciation, build a safe and welcoming community for all members and to have fun! Art Club is open to all students in grades 9-12.

NAHS is a national organization at high schools across America. NAHS recognizes 10th – 12th grade students who demonstrate the highest standards in art scholarship, character, and service by bringing art education to the attention of the school and community.

Art Club is open to anyone in grades 9-12 and when you become a sophomore you may join National Art Honor Society. Art seniors who are active in NAHS and complete the required community service are awarded honor cords to wear during graduation.

This year we are hosting art-making workshops once or twice a month focusing on mini art projects that you wouldn’t get to do in regular art classes. Each art teacher took on a new topic and developed a workshop for kids to participate in after school. Past workshops from 2020-2022 include: Resin Bottle Cap Art, Day of the Dead Printmaking, Textured Ceramic Mini Dishes, Needle Felting, Snapseed Photo Edits, and Chalk Murals.
